Giveaway: Win a Free All-Natural Bell & Evans Turkey from Pat LaFrieda

the oyster and sausage stuffing all the way. i like it as a dressing so it cooks separately and gets all crispy. and don't mind me if i add a tiny bit of cranberry sauce to it as well!

Cook the Book: 'The Mozza Cookbook'

The most memorable Italian meal I have ever had was actually at Mozza - it is a tie between the Pizzeria and Osteria. The pizza was revelatory. That crust!! And at the Osteria, I fell in love with long-cooked broccoli. I never knew that cooking it so long could make it so luxurious. And I first tasted octopus at the restaurants 3 years ago and have been hooked ever since!!

Weekend Giveaway: 'My Father's Daughter'

So excited that Gwyneth put aside any criticism and went for it with the cookbook. I would love to see one from Jake Gyllenhaal. I know he is a big supporter of the Slow Food Movement. I've read he loves to cook - would be fun to see what he came up with!

This Week's Pizza Poll: What's the Farthest You've Traveled for Pizza?

Cook the Book: Ad Hoc at Home

For me, it's HUCKLEBERRY in Santa Monica. Zoe Nathan, pastry chef and owner, turns out beautiful, hearty pastries daily. The cafe menu is ever changing but never too much that you will be disappointed that some of your favorites aren't available. The staff are always so lovely and happy to be working there. I love that they have special nights for fried chicken, tacos or her dad's pancakes. Such a great neighborhood spot!!

Cook the Book: 'The Best Soups in the World'

Cioppino and Bouillabaise are my all-time favorite soups (and one of my favorite foods for that matter). I have traveled all over the greater Los Angeles area to find the best ones. The last memorable one I had was at CHURCH & STATE in downtown. Sadly, I've only had the pleasure of eating it once but hope to have it again soon!

Cook the Book: 'New Classic Family Dinners'

There are so many but what is calling me now is mom's pot roast, mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese sauce. I am lucky to have had a mom who cooked so many wonderful, thoughtful meals growing up. YUM! I would love to win this so I can begin to start cooking some of my own.

I am visiting Seattle for the first time Memorial Day weekend. Any tips for can't miss places for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I LOVE seafood but my traveling companion doesn't eat it at all so ALL seafood restaurants are sadly out. Thank you!
