I love the idea of pre-soaking polenta to quicken the final cooking process. Do you use the same amount of water for this?
I tried making the sauce this weekend and had to alter a bit b/c my local store didn't offer the chili sauce suggested. I ended up using garlic chili sauce instead (ab 3/4 of a cup) plus extra sugar. And, maybe not a total surprise, it was too hot to use full strength. Tasty undertones tho!
The sauce in the picture looks like this one: http://www.kikkomanusa.com/homecooks/products/products_hc_details.php?pf=10516&fam=105
That being said, I've never tasted this brand, so I don't know how it compares to others on the market! Yes, please clarify!
These sound awesome! Can the pancakes be made ahead of time and grilled (on a gas grill), say later in the day or the following?
Skippbidder - try the Trade Joes version of Soy Chorizo - I find that it cooks up better than Soyrizo, with more charred bits!
Made these for dinner tonight - sauce was excellent! a little spicy, a little tangy ... just wish there was more of it!
Do we think this be made in a crock pot after searing and de-glazing the pan?
oh yeah gretchin that's a great one, i agree! definitely still looking for something digital tho ...
