As long as she's not dieting, I'd dine with Oprah at her Santa Barbara estate. The meal: tomato & basil (grown on her property?) w/ mozzarella, mac & cheese, fried chicken and a cobbler for dessert. Whew! I'm full just thinking about it!

panna cotta. mmmmmmmm.......
Cook the Book: Nigella Express
Making a week's menu (thanks dad!) that will determine what goes on the grocery list. I can also credit my mom's example of cooking 2-3 main dishes on a Sunday. I also chop & save extras of granishes like cilantro or onion to use for egg breakfasts during the week.

oh...you've brought back memories of the most awesome torrone white hot chocolate that I drank in Rome. Bless you!

I would have to say Oprah. I admire her so much for all that she does for other people. I would like to have a salad with a creme brulee dessert.

I'd love to eat with Oprah! She would appreciate some good southern cooking. I'd cook my famous crock pot maccaroni & cheese, collard greens, and smothered chicken over rice. Yum!!!

I would like to dine with Ellen. We would try something from Bosco's Chicken and Waffles, because that would be a hoot!

No contest...I would want to sit down to an afternoon lunch in some open air restaurant and discuss where Oprah sees this country heading. As we would munch on a delicious Chicken Ceasar Salad with fresh shreded Parmesan Cheese I could probe her thoughts and reasoning in supporting Barack Obama as a presidential candidate and if she has had any second thoughts about that decision since the campaign has turned so ugly with all the media spin. And ask her too...what does she think of the way news media and paparazzi conduct their business in reporting the lives of high profile individuals like herself.

I would like to share some southern food with Oprah.

I would chose Ellen as she is a good sport and is willing to try anything! I think we would try Southern foods.
Cook the Book: The Oprah Magazine Cookbook
Soup with the Soup. Joel McHale. Tortilla Chicken Soup. With guac. Yum, and har-de-har.

I'd like to hang out with Ellen DeGeneres over Christmas dinner. She'd be a lot of fun and probably bring us some really good gifts.

I would say Rachael Ray, and of course I would like for her to cook the meal :D A few recipes of her's that I would like to try are: Shrimp with Tarragon and Tomato Sauce, Scampi Verde, or Crab Stuffed Portobellos with Sparkling Sangria and TiraMiSundaes for dessert! Yum~

As much as I would enjoy Stewart or Cobert, I think for a relax, easy-going time, it would have to be Ellen. I think we would have a lovely bbq with beef, and potato salad, grilled veggies, and all the great summer produce available. To end it we would have some wonderful desserts.

I would love to break bread with Ellen! I would feed her some great BBQ Shrimp and Blackened Steak! Southerns love things like that!

god,i really don't know what talk show host to choose, but for a meal something fun would be best
Cook the Book: The Oprah Magazine Cookbook
Oprah. Since her talk show tapes in Chicago, either pork dumplings or Home Run Inn's pizza for a meal would be wonderful....

Since Paula Deen is not a talk show host, I would love to have dinner with Ellen DeGeneres. I don't think I would feel intimidated by her. Thanks for the chance to win!
Cook the Book: The Oprah Magazine Cookbook
I'd like to have lunch with David Letterman. I'm thinking Italian food, lasagna or a big bowl of spaghetti, with garlic bread and salad. No fancy desserts though, he's gotta watch that delicate heart of his. Maybe a nice small strawberry sorbet.
