Taste Test: Finding the Best Apples for Baking
Northern Spy apples are actually pretty notoriously hard to find in some areas (I live in southeastern PA). For the longest time my mom raved about them and told us how they were such a good baking apple, and my dad always teased her about these seemingly non-existent apples! Last year though, a friend finally tracked some down at a farm near her hometown, and I am now a firm believer in the superiority of Northern Spies for baking.

nachos for PA? I was expecting a hoagie, and Wisconsin should clearly be some sort of sausage or cheese! But, some of these are pretty cute, and it is definitely a clever idea.
Taste Test: Milks Not From a Cow
Goats milk sounds awesome, I will have to try it sometime. My favorite non-milk milk-like substance is definitely horchata (cinnamon rice milk). I always order some when I go to my favorite Mexican taqueria. I've tried whatever boxed brand they have at Whole Foods, which wasn't bad, but I haven't gone on a real hunt for the best brand to buy.
