Dear AHT: Elevation Burger

I like it. They opened one here in Austin recently, have been several times. I like the taste of the burger, like the cheddar (as BigWoollyMammoth pointed out) and I think their fries are great. I could care less about the organic aspect of it, it's just a good burger to me. Much better on all fronts than Five Guys imo.

Terra Burger, an All-Organic Burger Joint in Austin

Best burger here in Austin was at the now gone G&M Steakhouse--the infamous "cheeseburger platter":1/2 lb grilled patty, a mountain of grated sharp cheddar, mayo, lettuce, onion, pickles. No tomatoes offered. Steak fries on the side. They charged extra if you did not want cheese. This place was legendary and is where I learned what a real burger was all about.

Dear AHT: Elevation Burger

Great idea to use organic/green elements, but the food is just not that great. Plus they have the most egregious internet trolls on the local food websites. I can only assume any comment on the place is a blatant shill.

It's good, not great. There are plenty of great burgers in the DC Metro area.

I visited the Montclair NJ location and was severely disappointed. The burger was greasy and bland and the fries were soggy. I thought I just hit them on a bad night and tried it a second time with the same results. I will be sticking to Five Guys, which is luckily opening up in Montclair soon. Also, just down the block I saw Smashburger is coming in. Will need to try them out as well.

Cheese is a must and lots of it. American, cheddar, gruyere, monterey jack. Ketchup, mustard, tomato, lettuce and raw onions. That's my ideal burger with the toppings that makes the burger.
