Made this for a super bowl party and it was an utter failure. Usually, I'm a creative cook but this time I followed the recipe completely, to my chagrin. The oaxacan cheese was stringy and seperated. The fabulous shiitake mushrooms I used, added nothing and were overwhelmed by the spicy chorizo. It was embarassing to contribute this to our otherwise phenominal super bowl party. never again!
We made this last night for dinner. I used chicken chorizo from Whole Foods. It was wonderful. I"m not sure what the cheese rind did for the soup. May leave this out next time. Definitely, a keeper!
I, too, made this cake this weekend for a dinner party. It was the hit and beat out a chocolate flourless cake for the best dessert. It was easy to make and tastes good for breakfast the next day. OJ flavor didn't really come through at all. YUM!
