Sunday Brunch: Marion Cunningham's Oatmeal Pancakes
oatmeal pancakes are a house staple and we make something pretty darned similar to what you noted above only we add a smidge of vanilla extract. i'm not much of a morning person, so having to make the batter the night before makes having slightly "fancier" breakfasts so much more possible.
and you're right... doesn't need a bit of sweetener to top off. we usually do a bit of fruit or dollop of vanilla yogurt and they are perfect.
Do You Eat or Email First?
1. roll over
2. stretch for iphone
3. skim email with one eye still shut
4. heave myself up
5. downstairs to kitchen
6. cook breakfast
7. check email properly
8. eat
note: if no cook breakfast, eat then check email
