Pizza in Manila: Cibo
I am pleased to announce that they now serve pizzas in Cibo Shang Mall too! I had the squash blossom-topped one and it was amazing.

I've been a Cibo patron for years but have yet to sample Gaita's pizzas. Guess where I'm having lunch today? Thanks again for the tip, Mark! Keep em coming please.
Kettle Chips' Roasted Red Pepper and Goat Cheese... Oh my lord! It's everything you'd ever want in a chip!
markcohen: I have visited Nuccio's at least 5 times since you featured it and I have grown to appreciate it more and more. You're so right about the pastas too! So I'm anxiously awaiting your next Manila pizza review. Any tips in the meantime?
I just had lunch there and had their quattro stagioni pizza. Oh my gosh! You were so right. The crust was perfect...it had that rich wood-fire flavor and had just the right density. The sauce was sumptuously tomato-ey without being too tart and the toppings were generous. Best of all, the price was right! It was just as much as a pizza hut pizza would cost for the same size. Their pastas weren't remarkable though.
I am a Filipina who lives and works in Manila, Makati even, and consider myself a serious foodie. And I am smacking myself for not having discovered Nuccio's! I'm running over there right now and having myself some real pizza. Thanks!

midnightowl remember that only Rockwell has the pizza........as far as I know...........
All right, that's it! I'm stopping by Cibo tomorrow. There are two branches that're less than fifteen minutes away from my place and I really should make it a point to eat there more often.
To all Manila pizza lovers.......here is the second review on Cibo pizza:

Can't wait to start hearing your feedback on this great pizza......but as far as I know only available at the Rockwell branch.
jhermano: Bravo's is good, very thin crust and good sauce, decent cheese......but they use local flour instead of italian 00 which definitely puts it down a notch. I eat at the one on Dela Costa in Salcedo near my office. As for Hayahay, I am good friends with the owners of Lab-As, in fact 2 weeks ago we had a big surf and turf dinner, I brought the beef from manila and they supplied the lobster from Bais. I live in California/Manila so eating pizza at Hayahay is not necessarily on my list of things to do....although i have had it in the past when i was really hard up! By the way, the pizza at Grappa's is not bad, but also uses local flour.
Tim's Cascade
Kettle
Poore Brother's
Trader Joes' House Brand (BBQ Flavor)
Chili Cheese Fritos
I love the "Dirty Chips" brand but they are hard to find and very expensive. They are the best that I've had
Used to be Clover Club potato chips -- does anyone else remember the commercial where the Clover Club Lady talks about hand-filling the chip bags? Actually, I hated that commercial, but loved the chips!
