These were easily the best falafel I've ever made. Thank you!
Also, @J. Kenji López-Alt: Is it possible to substitute green chickpeas for part of the chickpea mixture? I figured it was worth asking because I've got some sitting around that I haven't decided what to do with.
Definitely preserved lemons.
Thank you so much for all of your suggestions! I wish we'd have had more time there so that we could have tried all of them. We did make it to Central BBQ, Brother Juniper's, and Hog and Hominy, and we really enjoyed all of them. Since I love barbecue so much, I especially loved Central. Hog and Hominy was great too... Lots of awesome cocktails, and we were able to try a fair bit of the menu between the five of us. Also, I have to say, I thought the pizza was pretty awesome there... It reminded me of some places I like here in Chicago. Anyway, thanks again-- you guys have some great food in Memphis. Also, if anyone ever needs advice on eating in Chicago, feel free to contact me!
Some of the best seafood I've ever eaten in my life was in Dingle. Brings back memories :)
I'm keeping things pretty simple this year. I start from seed every year, and so far I've got:
I may, however, end up buying a couple of plants so that I have some tomatoes that are better suited for sauce. I'm located on the South Side of Chicago, by the way, where we're just starting to get decent enough weather that I can begin hardening my plants off!
The one with pork carnitas and salsa verde is also fantastic!
I'll be going tonight-- so excited!
With brussels sprouts... or any type of greens, really.
