Best Places to Eat in Kauai?

If youre in Waimea on the west side, check out Ishihara Market for a bento lunch, poke, and just ono local food. I also agree with AnnieNT above, try the Spam Musubi, its an odd combo to most mainlanders but works awesome. Makes for a good lunch to bring up to Kokee or Waimea Canyon.

Other things to try are the lilikoi chiffon pie in Hanapepe at Wongs and the Manju at Kauai Kookie across the street. Aloha

Theres a chicken bahn mi sandwich at the Manoa Gardens Ba Le on the University of Hawaii campus that is awesome. I cant even explain what kind of seasoning is on the chicken, its not lemongrass or teriyaki, just plain deliciousness. The pickled daikon and carrots add the perfect balance. A must order on the French baguette. If youre ever in Hawaii and need a budget lunch near the University, this is your place!

@kimcheesoup: Though they may not be native to the islands, but pineapple still is grown and exported from Hawaii and has been a major part of the agriculture industry for the past century. We have the Dole plantation still operating in Wahiawa.

I hope the author could come to Hawaii and try a burger, he would be pleasantly surprised!

Las Vegas all meals

I think there is an Albertsons on Maryland Pkwy near Boulevard mall if you're looking for a grocery store. We just visited last week, for breakfast we checked out Hash House a Go Go on W. Sahara, the portion sizes are huge and the homemade corned beef hash is awesome! However, it is a bit far if you don't have a car. Another recommendation would be the eateries at New York New York, they offer a variety of choices from Nathans hot dogs and pizza to a deli.

If you like sushi, you must check out Sushi Mon on Maryland Parkway in Henderson, they have an all you can eat meal for about $27 which allows you to order all the nigiri and specialty rolls off their menu. They even offer specials like the super white tuna and fresh scallops. This is a great deal for the quality of sushi offered.

I also agree on splurging for one high end meal, it will be well worth it!

The coffee shop at Jerry's Nugget (North Downtown), the area is a little shady but the food is good. They have excellent prime rib and also do Greek food along with cakes and pies.
