Best of New York Empanadas
omg this list should have been broken down into borough, just because there are hundreds if not thouands of good empanada joints in queens alone; let alone brooklyn. In corona off 108th st there are at least 3 -4 good spots with-in 8 blocks of each other, and theyre all under a $1.50

I love stuffing, which is why I'm going to try to incorporate it into meals more often than just thanksgiving. I def want to try 'Bon Appétit' version the "cornbread stuffing muffins with ham and sage". Sounds like a meal in itself.

I used to run into the Empanada Man of Williamsburg at a bar called The Abbey. Usually during the week, around 1.30 am. Just go down there and ask the bartender Joe when the Empanada Man comes, he'll let you know.

Ended up eating at Zeizeff. Wasn't bad! But not great, either. If I had more time, I definitely would have hit Le Halles. Thanks for the advice, everyone!

Adrienne's fo'sho. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I have a whole section on Downtown eats... and so does Midtown Lunch, actually :)
Gonna be Downtown Manhattan today... where should I eat?
Near Ground Zero:
- PJ Clarke's at World Financial Center for their burgers.
- I seoncd the suggetion of Adrienne's Pizza on Stone St for their pizza. Then follow by pastries or desserts at Financier
- Zak's halal cart at the Liberty Plaza (on Liberty Street) for their falafel. Alfanoose is also a great option for falafel or other middle eastern food.
- Le Halles on John St for their steak tartare, french onion soup, or mussels and fries (not bother with their chicken)
- Zaitzeff on John (?) also has a pretty good burger

I don't really have a favorite. I just love steak. If I had to pick one it would probably be a filet.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
filet! but u gotta love the skirt steaks too!
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
Believe it or not... the best cut I ever grilled was a flat iron steak. Tender like Fillet Mignon, with the beefy taste of a Strip steak. My new favorite.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
a T bone steak sounds good right now!

While I love a nice rib eye thick with dry rub and baked or thin on the grill with seasoning, the mighty Porterhouse is the undisputed champion.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
I love a Porterhouse steak, medium rare, with cognac peppercorn sauce. My husband and I order this and split it, just enough for two!
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
My favorite is Kobe Porterhouse.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
We love ribeye steak. A strip steak is second choice. But for a special day a standing rib roast is tops!

I love a good Tbone. MMmmmm
