but did you try some of his food? I made his tomato sauce and it was horrible. He may be a great pastry chef - but I have yet to see a good savory dish from him...so maybe he should have gone on Top Chef Just Desserts instead.

I agree with the other commenters - Pine nuts may be great but their prices have sky-rocketed in the past few years.
We grabbed a handful from our local superstore here in Canada and the price came close to $19. They may be good - but they're not *that* good.
