Mario Unclogged: A Great Meal at Seattle's Steelhead Diner
The poutine is just ok, only because the fries at Steelhead are really weak. The fried grit cakes, on the other hand, are about as good as it gets.

Hi Mario… I’m sorry to hear the reason you visited the Pacific Northwest.
It’s exciting to hear about your experience at the Steelhead Diner and the “killer” Abacela Albariño. They’ve pioneered the varietal in the Northwest and I suspect have found it hard to get the varietal noticed. It’s great to get feedback from someone with your palate that enjoyed it in a setting that almost begs for this type of wine. Kudos! Paula
PS. Their website shows 2006 still available.
Congratulations to this week's winners! They are: jkiller5150, Xtreambar

Definitely have to go with The Lady and Sons' Fried Chicken as well
Oh - what I eat there - well, ribs ribs ribs at Fat Matt's and fried green tomatoes at The Biscuit. The FGTs are topped with a spicy, nutty sauce that's more than memorable. Yum.
Two of Atlanta's best comfort food spots: Fat Matt's & The Flying Biscuit. The best of the South's meat and veggie worlds.
Another lover of NOLA's Gumbo Shop checking in! Dee-licious!

The Home Place in Catawba, VA. Nothing beats BBQ night! Fried chicken, roast beef, cobbler, oh so good.
The Varsity Drive-In in Atlanta GA (thanks Roadfood, for the recommendation) and I like the hamburger with onion rings and a FO (frosted orange drink); I realize that his may not be the 'southern-est' of all southern restaurants but it works for me.
We're starved for good southern food in the Olympia area. Life hasn't been the same since Lagniappe closed a few years ago.
One of the best in the south, by far, is Verdi Mart in New Orleans. They make the best oyster po'boy!
