Cook the Book: 'How to Cook Everything, Revised Tenth Anniversary Edition'
I loved his 10-minute quick dishes article in the New York Times a couple summers ago - great time-saving tips and dishes I'd never thought of before!

Sugar-free Peeps.
I wonder if the sugar-free Peeps behave the same way as sugar-full Peeps when you stick them in the microwave.

The most memorable meal my mother ever cooked for me was on a trip to Maine. She and a family friend planned and cooked a lobster feast, and they plunked a huge red lobster down in front of me, and I swore it was looking at me. I haven't been able to eat lobster since.
One Trick Pony Restaurants
When I was younger, my friend and I wanted to open a restaurant that only served food that was served flambe.
Cook the Book: The Sweet Melissa Baking Book
Pecan pie, heavy on the pecans and not too corn-syrupy, with a nice large dollop of whipped cream.
Cook the Book: Nigella Express
Surprisingly, the thing that saved me the most time was making a garbage plate right by the cutting board. Rather than constantly walking back and forth between the wet trash container and the cutting board, I just dumped everything on the plate. I know it sounds a little simple but it made my life infinitely easier.
_________ gives me heartburn
The last time I went to my favorite restaurant, I ordered my favorite splurge, Green Eggs (No Ham), which is Eggs Florentine with fried mashed potatoes and a cup of coffee. I had heartburn for 3 days. I'm hoping this doesn't mean the end for this dish. I don't get it every time I go there but it would be sad if I couldn't eat it anymore!
What should I buy at Trader Joe's?
I love their frozen Tarte d'Alsace, with ham, caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese and creme fraiche. I always stock up on their whole wheat british muffins. The gorgonzola and walnut tortellini are fantastic too.
