Yeah...those are baozi. They are closed differently, have thicker skin, and generally steamed (as opposed to boiled like dumplings usually are).

Still...I would consider them similar foods.

Okay, knowing that he's inspired by food to go all kung fu gives me even more incentive to want to see it! It's like Chinese Food is the Matrix--you plug in, and ... hiya!
