Anthony Bourdain, love him or hate him?
He grew up the next town over from me and said true and good things about some local restaurants. Long before he was snarky on TV, he wrote two food themed mysteries which I loved. "Bone in the Throat" and "Gone Bamboo". That said, I don't like him on TV and turn it off when he darkens my screen.
Are You an Oyster Stuffing Fan?
I am using canned smoked oysters with cornbread and wild rice. Never made it before, don't even have a recipe. How hard could it be? Has anybody ever used smoked oysters before? Will it be too much?

My first job in a building (I delivered newspapers) was as a dishwasher at Sal's Pizzeria in Glen Rock, NJ. Sal was bought out in 1979 or 80 and it became Turvino's, where they let me cook and do all the prep work. I didn't make pies for sale, but I have made tens of thousands of gallon of pizza sauce, countless tons of dough and shredded thousands of pounds of cheese. They made (and still make) awesome pies.
