DVD Giveaway: Food, Inc.

After I read Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma a couple years ago, I started to eat as locally as possible...spent an entire cold NYC winter eating potatoes. I don't regret it. I love supporting local farmers, vendors, and producers. I went to live on an organic farm for a month to learn. I started a website to raise awareness. This movie is AWESOME. I thought it wouldn't give me any new information, but it did and I wish I had a copy because I want to lend it out to friends - and my sister who is pregnant with her first baby and she has to be scared into eating better, if nothing else!

Too hard to really decide, but gotta say the French twist...hearty brioche, delicate Haricot. Individual recipes? Gonna go with the Cornbread Stuffing Muffins - LOVE this idea and going to totally do this. SO Brilliant!! Can freeze these for all the leftover turkey....

Amazing 66: A Truly Amazing Menu in Manhattan's Chinatown

Gorgeous photos!!! This was one of my favorites when I lived there...I would go during lunch because they offered tons on their menu for $5 (with soup!) and I'd have more than plenty for dinner...if it lasted that long. I loved their salted fish and pork...thanks for the memory!

Street Food Profile: Only Burger in Durham, North Carolina

I LOVE Only Burger!! There's nothing like walking out of a movie at the Carolina or the market and see them there ready with big juicy, yummy burgers. It's lovely. We even got them to park in our office lot once...come back.
