How Do You Nacho?

I worked at a Mexican restaurant in the 70's and their order of nachos consisted of 14 tortilla chips individually topped with beans and cheese. These were placed in a salamander until the cheese was melted then topped with guacamole, sour cream and a slice of jalapeno. Yummm.

Question of the Day: Who does the grocery shopping in your household?

I do all the shopping. I can't get my husband to step foot in a store. If we end up going to a store together, he will sit in the car and wait. I am so envious of couples who shop together. Did I mention I do all the cooking also?

Question of the Day: What Restaurant Did You Go to on Your First Date?

Mike's Pizza in Panorama City, Calif. They had the best garic rolls. That was a long time ago. I don't think they are still around.

If I'm being a good girl, chicken or beef w/ stir fry veggies & Soy Vay Teriyaki sauce with basmati rice... if I'm eating whatever I want, it could be cereal, grits and eggs, cheese toast w/ some kind of soup or just ice cream. Yummy yum!

I am very fortunate to already own this fantastic book. If by random selection my comment is selected, please select another SE fan so they too can enjoy her book. Being single, it is rare NOT to eat alone. My most enjoyable meal is breakfast. The simple poached egg & oatmeal quietly eaten before I'm out the door to start my day.

I eat leftovers or something with cheese. My boyfriend has a cheese-phobia so when I'm alone it's always a good time for me to divulge my senses in all that is cheesy goodness =)

Question of the Day: Who does the grocery shopping in your household?

Being a household of one, I do all my own shopping. Stop & Shop, Costco, and Trader Joe's are my main food stores.

Question of the Day: Who does the grocery shopping in your household?

I do 99.9% of the grocery shopping in my household. Case in point: on Tuesday, my husband ran to the store to get some last minute items that we needed for our fish tacos (had everything except the all important tortillas). He remarked when he got back, "wow, they remodeled in there didn't they?"
They did so about a year ago. DOH!!

Question of the Day: Who does the grocery shopping in your household?

I have to do all the shopping. My husband honestly doesn' t know what goes into things, so if I send him to the store for tomatoes for a sandwich, I get 3 phone calls asking what size, what shape, what color etc.

Additionally, if I do send him, I have to be very specific with the list, including things like the color of the packaging. I also have to put the list in the order of the flow of traffic in the supermarket.
When we do go shopping together, he almost needs to be entertained, and I also have to make sure that he eats previously, so that he doesn't get grumpy.

That said, I usually stop on the way home from work and pick up what I need for dinner.
Once I suggested that he hang out at the coffee shop while I am shopping and he wouldn't hear of it.
