wow.. that is REALLY new. only open for a week. I'm often weak for "being first" - think The Fix burger, I was there on 2nd day of opening, ICK. Almost made it to Rowdy on opening day, but decided to stay home and make a spinach salad instead...

That's just a lovely article... And it has all of my burger maxims! No ketchup, eat it ASAP, and somehow a plain white bun should be just enough.
That shack reminds me of Mom's Burger in Compton, CA, still 1 of the greatest 'hood burger in all of LA. That said, looks like Mom's still superior vs. Bill's, they form their own patties.

The Bowery in LA also serves a burger on toasted muffin. The problem is it's always a bit over-toasted, hence always ask for it LIGHTLY toasted for the perfect texture/absorbency...
