@onlyservingsuggestion - Hey I like the site! Looks liike you have access to some wonderful instant noodle varieties over there. I'd like to try more of the Fuku and some of those different Nissin varieties. Also, I've noticed there's a couple odd cups available - one has narutomaki in the shape of Hello Kitty and one with Spiderman - this would be awesome to try I think!

@sangpark & @nelkins - Actually, you're both right. Nongshim is a Korean company, but the Bowl Noodle line comes from Rancho Cucamonga, California. On a side note, I'll be visiting Nongshim's plant there later this month to do a tour, tasting and interview with them. You'll hear about it on Serious Eats, too!
@droostring - Yeah there aren't many things like that around these days available in the US. When I was talking with Nissin Foods USA, I asked if they could liase some kind of shipment of samples from their parent company in Japan. That wasn't gonna happen - its tough to get things like through customs. On the other hand, I'm doing a 'Meet The Manufacturer' week this week on www.theramenrater.com - featuring Indonesia's 'Indomie' brand. They sent a lot of samples and they made it through fine.

What a great article! I think my favorite is Kizami Shoga. I also am very keen on eggs being added - nothin betta! Check out my Blog, The Ramen Rater - I've put a bunch of my reipes n there. I think that people should check out many different types of ramen - the Indonesian is some excellent stuff!

Yep - you should be able to find the Nongshim varieties easily as well as the Myojo and Sapporo Ichiban. The Indomie Rendang is pretty easily found too. Actually now that I think of it, I got the Sapporo Ichiban and the Mama at Walmart last time I bought them. The Prima Taste is a little trickier to find though.
