My blog, The Brave Potato, is about adventurous home cooking, although at the moment I'm still chronicling my recent trip to Asia.

Snapshots from South Korea: Pon de Ring Doughnuts from Mister Donut

I didn't eat any Mr. Donut donuts while in Asia, but those look very similar to the "mochi ring" donuts found at Dunkin Donuts that Sustarz mentioned. Could the chewiness be glutinous rice flour?

Cook the Book: Eugenia Bone's 'Well-Preserved'

I've done jam, chutney, tomatoes and tomato paste, preserved lemons, and a billion kinds of pickles, but I'm ready to move up to pressure canning!

Election Cake

Woah, would you believe that I just finished making and posting about my election cake? Happy voting, everyone!

Photo of the Day: Chicken Feet

Chicken feet are fantastic! Once you start appreciating the textures of foods like chicken feet, you can't go back. They're delicious and so fun to eat - plus, it would be silly to let them go to waste! Great photo.

Foods We Loved as Kids, Maybe Not as Adults

OMG, to all you Marshmallow Fluff lovers in or near Boston: Union Square in Somerville, the birthplace of Fluff, hosts an annual party honoring that local hero, entitled What the Fluff. I don't know what's in the works for this year, but last year there were all sorts of performances and activities, plus every kind of treat you could possibly make from Fluff. I ate at least three different kinds of Fluffernutter - with and without apples, on artisanal bread, with nuttella, etc...

Here I chronicle the rolicking ride that is my relationship with food! (And family, with some book reviews thrown in)

http://thesugarfiend.blogspot.com/

Look, all of us want more blog traffic, and there is no way we can read all of our collective blogs, but we should really make an effort to check out at least other 5 SE's blogs if we post our own in this thread --after all, not fair to 'shill' if you don't help others out!

So wonderful to have so many fellow writers! I actually have two blogs to share. One is my personal blog: www.thedilettantista.wordpress.com which covers, well, EVERYTHING, cooking, restaurants, movies, etc. I started it this summer when I was living in New York City for an internship, so it is especially heavy on NYC eating.

I am also a contributing writer to Carpe Durham, a food blog that focuses on eating in Durham, North Carolina. The blog was started a few years ago by Duke law students, and I am a newer writer. The blog is a great source if you live in the Triangle area!

@Madelyn -- KarmaFreeCooking is one of my favorite blogs! I love it. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into it.

While I'm at it, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you food bloggers. The time, effort, and enthusiasm you all put into your blogs delights, entertains, and educates the rest of us.

Thank you all!

I just LOVE to cook over an open fire using the equipment, the ingredients, and the receipts (recipes) of the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries. Visit my blog www.historiccookery.com to read all about my adventures! You'll find details of my latest historic cooking events, as well as my library of historic cookbooks,
the historic receipts used during my programs out at the Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum, my vendors-of-choice for buying historically-accurate cooking equipment, and much more. Come join me on my journey to centuries past.
