Seen on Craigslist: Live Near Frank Pepe's

that's a huge kitchen for NY--plenty of room to line up several pizza boxes without having to put them on the stove!

LOLcat Pizza

oh, that's great!

I'm a big fan of the LOLcats, and this is one of the best.

Pizza Hut and the Walk of Shame

Listen, if TGIFridays can charge like $6 for a soda or something--whatever their outrageous prices are--and sell packaged food....

And the Olive Garden has a line around the block, just DOWN the block from a great place that serves REAL Italian food.....

Apagano's brother is right--NYC is not for New Yorkers anymore

Folding Your Slice: It's a New York Thing

This is absolutely the best T-shirt ever.

We had friends visit from the D.C. area this weekend; the wife had lived in Queens for many years and was lonesome for a thin-crusted NYC pizza (even a non-gourmet one). The husband, not a NYC native for any amount of time, was looking forward to some too, so we got a couple of pies from the local place.

When we started eating, the husband said, "Oh, no! Are you those people who fold their pizzas when they eat them?"

Well, yes....I never think of it as unusual. Not anymore, at least. I think when I moved here from NYC, I thought it was, but probably not. I think I learned to fold them at Joey & Johnny's New York Style Pizzeria in Kirksville, Missouri. (which isn't there anymore).

Thanks for the link--I have a gift-buying occasion coming up in July...

Talley Sue, you of all people are a fan of LOLcats?!? I guess after dealing with policing grammar and spelling all day, it's fun to see something that breaks all the rules. I like them, too.
