Brunch near Union Sq?

Lillies is one of my fav places to grab a drink after work- but have never been for brunch. Regardless the atmosphere is really cute!

Where to eat in Vancouver?

Had my first oyster ever at Rodney's Oyster bar, and then went to Alibi in Gastown for drinks after! Really fun casual places.

Places to eat near Madison Square Garden

Stout on 33 bet 6th and 7th has really good sweet potato fries- and I love their black bean turkey burger! Its got more of a bar/pub feel, but its huge.

I should have mentioned also that a store recommendation in NY would be great, but I would be willing to buy it online as well!

What's not-to-miss in Italy?

I just got back from the same trip! Not a honeymoon, but a trip to Rome, Florence and Venice! In Florence we ate at two great restaurants, one is La Giostra (the owner is a really animated guy and they give you an amazing sampler as soon as you sit down!), and Frescobaldi (they make their own wine, olive oil and an amazing semifreddo for dessert!).

In Rome the best restaurant we ate at was Trattoria Tritone which is near the Trevi Fountrain (which you should definitely see at night!)

If you stumble through San Gimignano, they have the best gelato there at Pluripremiata Gelateria. It is clearly touristy and they claim to be the "Gelato World Champions", but it really was the best/most reasonably priced we had on the trip! 3 small gelato for 5 euro.

The two best caprese salads of the trip were in Venice. Don't even remember the names of the small places we had them, but it seems they make them well regardless of where you eat!

Have an amazing time- its a truly magical place!

Sweet Ticket Giveaway, Week 2: What's Your Favorite Childhood Dessert Memory?

My favorite childhood dessert has to be my mother’s banana chocolate chip bread. This treat, which my family has lovingly referred to as “Bananacake,” “Mama’s BB with CC,” and “The world’s yummiest batter,” has been a favorite for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories of making this bread involve trying to lick the batter after the eggs had already been added- a no no in mom’s book. With its moist top, purple cooked banana veins, and squares of gooey chocolate, Mom’s banana bread is simply the best!
