Soba noodles with peanut sauce, chicken, mushrooms, raw broccoli and carrots :)

Cook the Book: 'The Sriracha Cookbook'

Well almost anything of course, but my favorite is probably just whole wheat toast with peanut butter and sriracha, a Mark Bittman suggestion!

Cook the Book: 'The Essential New York Times Cookbook'

Joy of Cooking is my most used for sure. Most basic recipes I would want for whatever are in there. I had the urge for beef stroganoff just the other day and turned to this trusty cookbook.

Healthy & Delicious: Avocado and Corn Salsa

The issue of non-vegans appreciating a certain dish or not is pretty mute to me-especially when it is something that most meat eaters consider a side-dish. The issue comes up when you would have an entire meal out of vegan dishes. I don't think vegan food in itself is not rejected by most people, only when that type of food becomes the only thing to eat.

V-Day Giveaway: Praise the Lard Box from Zingerman's

Something about it
A feeling from my pit
Unless it's the flavor
So good to savor
A strip of bacon, a sausage link
Gimme some is all I can think
Either that, or if not, a stiff drink.

Burger King's 'Whopper Virgins' Documentary Takes Whoppers to Remote Places

I think mh330 said it very well, this is a very patronizing way to deal with other cultures. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I mean, traveling to poor areas of the world for no other reason than to use these people in a Burger King commercial? I know Burger King is a commercial enterprise and not UNICEF, but don't you think they could have used the money and time they spent on this ad campaign for something other than just expanding their corporation? Maybe by showing a little global awareness? Such a waste.
