Yeah, that's an important point. Fond as I am of Paul Revere's, I'm pretty sure virtually every time we ended up there we were out of our heads in some way or another. Pepe's only needs to serve edible pizza in college towns to make a buck.

My experiences with college pizza are limited to Paul Revere's, the little Des Moines dive much loved for its insanely cheap pies and addictive garlic breadsticks; and, of course, ordering discounted pizzas from Papa John's. I would have loved a Pepe's, even if it was a chain store.

I disagree about Chipotle, though. Only thing that impresses me about that chain is the cheap margaritas. Margaritas? In a fast food joint? We are living in the enlightened future.

There are more Huts than Domino's? Seriously? I know I went through a phase where I thought meat lover's stuffed crust was an awesome idea, but really...

I think my body might actually rebel once it realized what I was eating. It'd be like when I tried to order a Red Robin Burger with bacon and eggs and the words just failed to come out.

Please, please tell me there was Hakarl pizza.

Hmm...much as I just want to shout Chicago! from the rooftops, I don't think you can really compare the Deep-Dish--which Chicago IS the freakin' best at--to, say, the ultra-thin Roman pizzas.

But hell, who wants complexity in this already complex world?

I'm disappointed to hear it's so terrible, though. I have a soft spot for Dominos, given that you don't encounter much good pizza growing up in Chicago's northern suburbs...ah well. Maybe I'll just make one of these.
