ALMOST had no dessert

I was going to be clever and let the children make that whipped cream chocolate wafer magic cake thing, and we forgot the chocowafers at the store, so I had to go find my one gallon of leftover bread pudding (from the first week of Advent!!), and resurrect it with fresh custard and a whiskey sauce--so we almost had no dessert except for Nyakers ginger snaps. I tried Emeril's recipe for whiskey sauce that used cream, milk, and cornstarch -- It tasted like whiskey gravy. I had in mind more of a Bananas Foster brown sugar fantasy that whiskey gravy DOES NOT satisfy! So far, I've gotten no callbacks re: food poisoning.............

Getting time to make plum pudding.....it can sit forever in a nice puddle of bourbon, rum, etc.
