Down Home With The Neely's Dilemma!

I LOVE the Neely's. Their playful banter comes across as 100% genuine. I don't know how anyone can be grossed out by it or find it inappropriate. It's a beautiful thing to me to see a married couple who obviously adore each other. Funny.....people don't seem to be bugged by the psycho personalities and disgusting behavior on some of these reality shows, yet when a MARRIED couple show some passion, they get upset? Go figure.

I personally dont mind the neely's...they're real. Its not just -mix this add that bake it and bam theres ur dish- They're obvisouly very happy together. But just to see a married couple laughing and cooking together is so great. Theres nothing wrong with her calling him bid daddy or whatever. So What! They're always smiling laughing and sometimes they are a -pick me up- And they get their food cooked. This is what cooking is about....it's what makes it fun. I hate standing over the stove by myself quitely cooking. it nice to chat and what not, it makes u WANT to be standing over that hot stove. And for all of you that want them off the air because they love each other too much, ur crazy. They r happy with each other and not ashamed to show the world how they feel. And thats probably y their food comes out so good. So dont hate. You all sound like u haven't had love like that b4. cuz if u did u should understand. Its a new day, n worse things r on tv. This is real love. watch it and enjoy it.

This show is no surprise to me. It is just another affirmation that FN is going
down hill rapidly.

I kinda wish I had FN just to se what is going on. :) To bad they don't stream the shows online like the networks do.

I am African American and am embarrassed by the Neely's. It should be a show you could watch with your parents, grandparents and children. Gina's spice fairy routine is annoying. Her banter especially when she said her grandmother told her how to get a man "here(heart), here(stomach) and "down there" was so repulsive! I do enjoy Pat's quiet manner. I think they can cook a lot more than just BBQ. Their Road Tasted with the Neely's shows some great places but Gina trying to be the center of everyone's attention makes the show a loser. I was hoping the show would be a positive portrayal of a middle to upper class African American family who lives in a nice house, works hard and enjoys cooking. If I wanted to hear about their "passion" I would think that would be on a different channel.

Paula Deen used to be a favorite but she and Gina are the same ... too vulgar and it is very uncomfortable to watch.

@RoseL ~ I can only speak for myself, but as a person fascinated by food, there is ZERO room on my DVR for Fake reality television. Go figure.....
