Being the novice that I am, I would say olive oil. It seems like it's in everything, which is good.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Way! Hated ut as a kid...love it now in all its incarnations (especially creamed).
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Way! It's one of my BF's favorites, and it's just so tasty!
Spinach: Way or No Way?
,Nobody doesn't like Sara Lee, or spinach.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Way. Anytime, anywhere, anyway you wanna serve it. Its my second favorite veggie (zucchini is #1).
Spinach: Way or No Way?
WAY. Occasionally in high school, I would skip whatever dinner I'd made for my sister's rugrats and just have a huge bowl of cooked spinach with a little salt and some lemon juice.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Way! It has always been my favorite veggie and I can eat it in any form, and it's partly due to my fascination with Popeye like so many others. Spinach and eggs are magical together.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
I used to eat a lot of spinach, but after I found out about the oxalic acid (which inhibits your body's ability to absorb calcium), I started relying on other greens, like kale and collards. Now when I do eat cooked spinach, it seems too soft to me.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
no way. Spinach makes my teeth hurt. I used that reason as a kid and still do today. Except for me my teeth hurt when it is cooked. As anadult I can eat some raw in a salad mixed with other greens or even cooked in something like spinach artichoke dip. But plain cooked spinach, no way!
Spinach: Way or No Way?
I've always loved spinach. Mum often made spinach soup when we were little (not cream of spinach), and we ate plenty of spinach salads and stir-fries with spinach. I use it so often, and in so many things - soups, quiches, omelettes, croquettes, salads... I doubt I've ever tasted creamed spinach though, and for some reason, I'm not sure I want to. Regardless -- big YAY for me.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
@Cass--I too hate that raw-spinach feeling on one's teeth. I love the stuff in any other form, except creamed. Spinach omelettes, spinach quiche, eggs florentine, spinach pesto, just plain stir-fried spinach with olive oil and lemon, spinach enchiladas, spinach in lasagna.... Goodness, I sound like Bubba talking about shrimp. I'll stop now.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
I know this may sound gross but I even love th stuff from from the can.
WAY
Spinach: Way or No Way?
WAY! All different ways, all the time! Spinach always adds something to any meal I make whether Indian or Italian. I'll add it as a spur-of-the-moment extra --- but it always turns out delicious (to me anyways). I understand, though, why some are tired of it. However--- I must add that frozen spinach is a ridiculously good deal at the grocery store.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Way! Yum Yum Yum
And the hubby and kids concur.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
that weird feel on your teeth is caused by oxalic acid.
You can reduce oxalic acid by blanching raw spinach.
And personally, Way.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Oh Yea - I can deal with it. Best recipe I have is a spinach fritata.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
I think I'm actually related to Popeye because spinach is probably my favorite vegetable. I LOVE it steamed or right out of the frozen chopped package. I like it fresh as a salad. The only time I don't like to eat spinach is when it's creamed, but hey - that's not the spinach's fault, it's the cream's.

Spinach: Way or No Way?
I love spinach. It's all about preparing it correctly. Garlic makes it taste better.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Way! Raw or cooked.
But not a big fan of frozen (although okay in some things) and not a fan of canned. Sorry, Popeye!
Spinach: Way or No Way?
WAY - baby for raw, any for cooked. I especially like to cook and blend it into Indian-style curries before adding the other veggies or meat if I'm using it. Raw blended into smoothies (or pretty much any dark leafy) adds a lot of nutrients but doesn't impart a strong flavor over the fruit so it blends in nicely. I don't eat it cooked on it's own much, but I do love it in so many other things.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
I'm glad I'm not the only one to experience that weird feeling in my mouth - at least with raw spinach.
Spinach: Way or No Way?
WAY.
In all ways and forms except canned.
Yum spinach!
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Even as a child I loved spinach, whether canned, frozen, or fresh.
My two favorites are wilted spinach salad with the old-fashioned sweet and sour bacon dressing, and creamed spinach at any steak house - manna from heaven!
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Karencooks: "I love spinach, raw, sauteed, creamed, and any other way you can prepare it. I hate it as a child, even when Daddy told me about Popeye...that didn't fly."
My experience and sentiments exactly! Weird. WAY!
Spinach: Way or No Way?
Definitely way. Defrosted some frozen chopped spinach last night with toasted pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, and crushed red pepper. Can't wait to eat the leftovers for lunch.
But what is with that awful dry feeling it leaves on my teeth? I feel like I'd eat it even more if I didn't have to put up with that.
