@OneWallKitchen: Oo, thanks for the link! I've seen some of her videos before but not in a while.
And yes, do check out this video when you get home. :)
Video: McDonald's No Longer Using 'Pink Slime' in Burgers
@guycooking: "Does 'The Girl who Ate Everything' include Pink Slime in her diet?" I'm guessing that's not a serious question, but no, I do not eat "pink slime." Despite the name, I do not actually eat everything.
Yesterday, In-N-Out in Sydney for One-day Pop-up Event
@RouxTheDay: I'm afraid I don't know. :(
Video: McDonald's No Longer Using 'Pink Slime' in Burgers
@JoshDC: Ah, I didn't realize how fail-filled Food Safety News was—I'll take that out. If you come across any good links that support "pink slime" (...not that I do, but it could be interesting), let me know. Thanks!
Meiji's Almond Chocolate: Original, Smart Sweet, Crispy Puff, and Crunch
@hmw0029: If I only had the regular version, I suppose I would've liked it better.. :) The other versions are gooood stuuuuff. Hope you get to try em!
@Midge: Oo, nice! Wish I could find those all here.
Meet & Eat: Lauren Rothman, Serious Eats Intern
I'm not into raw oysters either. ;_; HIGH FIVE! And welcome to the SE team!
BraveTart: Make Your Own Butterfingers
I remember the first time I had a Butterfinger when I was a kid. My expectations were high—this was Bart Simpson's favorite candy bar, after all. But then I got a mouthful of those flaky, bright orange, semi-PB-flavored innards and...was not...enthralled. :(
Anyhoo, your candy bar sounds amazing and I want it, yes I do.
Also, melted candy corn mashed up with peanut butter? ...What the huh?
Cleveland: If Michael Symon Weren't Already a Celebrity, B Spot Would Make Him a Star
@sdfishtaco: Shake Shack uses Pat LaFrieda and their burgers start around $5...?
Cleveland: If Michael Symon Weren't Already a Celebrity, B Spot Would Make Him a Star
@DavidPD: We reviewed B Spot two years ago (http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2010/01/michael-symon-b-spot-burger-review-woodmere-cleveland-oh.html) but the review wasn't by a regular AHT contributor (she was a regular Serious Eats contributor). When Daniel got the opportunity to do a thorough review, I thought it was worthwhile.
Fast Food: McDonald's Chicken McBites
I LOVE CHICKEN MGNUGGETS (but eat them almost never these days). My childhood was fueled by so many nugs. Maybe next time you organize some sort of meetup in NYC you can do it at McDonald's instead of a bar—and then I can come!
But I'm guessing no one else would show up.
:'(
Who Was First In Line at Steak 'n Shake's Grand Opening in NYC?
@JustinH: There's just one post, but it's appearing twice...some glitch with publishing I guess. Will see if I can fix it.
Reality Check: Jumbaco from Jack in the Box
JUMBACO! JUMBACO! JUMBACO!
Yup, stuck in my head too. ;)
This Week at Serious Eats World Headquarters
To everyone asking about Hambone, he got a bit sick last week. I hope he'll be back in the office this week!
This Week at Serious Eats World Headquarters
@Teachertalk: Thanks! We'll bring back Hambone next week. :)
@darklighter: Lately I've been eating a lot of fruit and veg! Although the latest reaction I had was to a pomelo, so...fail.
@Smileyface: Yup, that's easy peasy. ;)
A Sandwich a Day: Spam Musubi 'Sandwich' at Ate-Oh-Ate in Portland, OR
I LOOOOVE Spam musubi. Never made it with omelet though—I've gotta try that.
PS: If anyone wants to make Spam musubi at home, here's our tutorial:

The Year of the Dragon!
Eating dinner at a Chinese friend's house on the 22nd, then going to a dumpling party with friends on the 23rd. Without those friends to arrange activities, I probably wouldn't do anything...I'm lazy. :[

GINORMOUS TURNIP CAKE BLOCK FTW.

Is Public Drinking Good For the Neighborhood?
@Teachertalk: Belated reaction from me, but thank you! Glad you liked the illustrations!
