Hi
My son has got it into his head that he wants to cook meatballs at the weekend when we're together. Does anyone know of any good and easy recipes that will let him get his hands dirty but aren't too complicated cheers! B

Guilty - on being from across the pond that is :)
I'm from Belfast, mucking about anywhere is very popular over here
I've always been able to cook basic meals for dinner but I've recently got my son (Rathlin, who's 7) into it too and he looooooves it. It's great to have things to do inside, since Irish weather isn't always the best
We cook curries, pasta, Irish dishes (alot of potatos) We really love baking, cakes, breads, cookies. It's especially fun because of the mess involved.
I've just been browsing the web looking for cooking sites, looking for ideas on new things to cook/bake and eat :P
So I thought I'd join in and see what I can get up to

Heya
After seeing what ingredients we could get our hands on, e had a go at using half ground beef/half ground pork, using 1 egg to bind
Seasoned well, and used some rosemary and cumin
My son shaped the meatballs (even tried a bit of mozzarella in the middle) - very messy, but lots of fun :)
I did the sauce - a basic tomato and basil one - and we both did the eating
