My wife used to live a few blocks away and we ate there all the time. Great food.

Good place, had a merguez sandwich and a baguette and friends had the burger. All delicious.

West Village: Is Corner Bistro The Most Overrated Burger in NYC?

I've had it a few times (but not recently), always had the bistro burger and enjoyed it. The fries were delicious too.
Sometimes you just have to eat and not analyze everything.

Forcella: Yeah, You Kinda Need to Get Here

My wife and I visited Forcella last night. Started with a Capri (caprese) salad to try out the mozzarella, the mozzarella was firm and chewy (not in a bad way) with a good salty taste. The accompanying pesto was great.
Then we shared a a Montagnara pie and the daily special, white pie with gorgonzola, fig and prosciutto. The crust on the Montagnara was great, reminding me of "gnoccho fritto" that my mom and family in Italy make (basically deep fried dough). The sauce was a little acidic for my tastes and way too acidic for my wife. I would try one with toppings next time to cut the acidity. The special pie was delicious also, great moderately pungent gorgonzola taste, soft figs and delicious prosciutto. We followed with the Millefoglie dessert on Gianni's recommendation, flaky pastry layered with cream and drizzled with Nutella. It was nice and light. Espresso machine was on the fritz last night. It's still BYOB and they recommend a place in the area to pick up booze although we didn't partake.
Place is decorated nicely, the pizza boxes from Naples are a nice touch and the staff was very friendly. Place was a touch loud.

Fyi...where I come from, the word Montagnara is akin to calling someone a redneck but for people from the mountains.

Greenpoint, Brooklyn: Paulie Gee's

Ate at Paulie gee's a few weeks ago and it was great. Loved the atmosphere of the place and of course the pizza was great. (Had the anise pie). Enjoyed some pizza talk with Paulie also.

I've been to the one in Forest Hills, Queens several times and its been good.
I like experimenting with the multitude of toppings and the fries/onion rings are delicious. Is it anywhere near the greatest burger? No but it good.

At the airport? wouldn't even risk it

In addition, reading all this has me ravenous for pizza. I'll be enjoying a slice or two from Gino's in elmhurst on broadway. :)

Comment of the Day: 'Di Fanboys'

I am starting to wonder if DiFara's is much like Frank Pepe's in that the pizza is "so good" because everyone else says it is. I have never eaten at Difara's and I'm not sure if i want to anymore. Back to the issue of cleanliness, seems careless to not even give the place a wipedown.
I can just see a hipster saying.."this place is so cool, they dont even need to clean!"
