I was just at Katz the other week - it's my traditional last meal of the year - and I have to agree that after close scrutiny, the rye there doesn't really hold up well. I often find myself just taking out the meat and eating pieces as is... but perhaps that's the point.

Well it would depend on what keeps best, don't you think? I'd look at it that way. I'd wait on the turkey until Friday night - I find it doesn't keep as well and the delay until Sunday may be too long, no?
