Video: Chicken Commercial Possibly Rejected from Wendy's
That looks like a real commercial to me.
That looks like a real commercial to me.
I visit Fort Worth a lot as I have a good friend there. During one 3-day visit, I had chicken-fried steak, biscuits and gravy, BBQ, Mexican food, even Chinese food, and much more. I love the food there!
I'd been hearing for a while that it was myth. Not far off from the myths based on the U.S. government's food pyramid, created not to guide us nutritionally, but to help sell beef.
That's easy. I have considered actually trying to open a Potato Latke place with all kinds of toppings!
My sister, a Philly-based restaurant consultant, is one page 1 of USA Today today commenting on the future of Starbucks.
Perfect. I will be at the South by Southwest festival for the first time. I am going to use that list of restaurants, for sure. I love BBQ!
I would love to find some unsweetened ice cream up here in Boston. What a great idea. I have tried the taro and green bean popsicles from the Asian markets here, but I find they are pretty darned sweet. Although I love the savory green bean flavor peeking through.
I've had these. The idea is sort of gross but they're not half-bad. I think I've seen them up here in Boston.
I am on a personal journey of learning to eat smaller portions. Because I eat out a lot, I am often served portions that I used to enjoy but now find way too large. I find it makes sense for me to eat at home or at buffets, where I can control the portions. I loved "The Omnivore's Dilemma." Should be required reading for anyone who eats.
I have enough trouble adding ice cubes to beer (which I do from time to time when the beer's not frosty enough), so hot beer sounds kinda unappetizing.
Caros...the restaurant I miss the most from Fort Worth. The tostadas make the most excellent nachos. A plate of bean & cheese nachos with a couple of their margaritas...doesn't get much better!
And they're not new...they've been there for years & years...just down from TCU on Bluebonnet Circle.
How funny - I read that dessert menu and wondered why Brajas was serving everything from Reata...
I've wondered, though, why no Joe T's in the "Tex Mex Cookbook" or Fort Worth tour?
This loosks really familiar... didn't they show this commercial a few (2-3?) years ago?
If it wasn't this exact one, then it was very similar. maybe the guy didn't blow up in the end, but I think he might have.
That is the actor from Gilmore Girls and I've seen him recently in another commercial - forget the product. I doubt he'd be in a joke video. I'm betting it's the real thing and it's funny!
@RheaB: Supposedly, it would have been near completion but got axed, so it *is* a real commercial, at least in terms of production values, etc. It just never ran (supposedly).
@onalark: I have no idea what Wendy's is selling at the moment. Haven't been to one in months.
@Carosone: Could be an attempt at a viral video, as I said — if Wendy's is indeed selling the product.
@LoCo: My point exactly!
Ed-
We ate those desserts at Reata on Sundance Square, not Brajas, whatever that is.

Who cares if it's real or not...
HYSTERICAL!!!
Pretty funny...but I'm smelling a viral video.
Except that Wendy's isn't currently selling this product, right?
Hmmm!
