I like Bitten.

My first cookbook was 'Taste' by David Rosengarten. I got it as a gift because someone knew I liked the show. Not many recipes, but the info and writing is top notch.

I tried Indian food for the first time as a freshman in college. It was my birthday, and I wanted something different, so my dad suggested it. I had the chicken tikka masala, and it was love at first bite!

I like mine with raspberries. Yum!

My favorite childhood food memory is having a sleepover and my mom making homemade donuts with cinnamon-sugar in the morning. Heaven!

I drove three hours round trip on a whim in college (when I had better things to do, like study for finals!) to satisfy my craving for homemade chicken and noodles. Thankfully, they were so good, I didn't mind a bit.

We're going out for Cajun food at either Yat's in Indianapolis or Zydeco's in Mooresville, IN. I'll also be attempting my first king cake. The boyfriend scored a crown at Burger King, so we're set, I think.

I love Mellow Mushroom. The jerk chicken-pineapple-banana pepper combo makes a great cold breakfast the next morning. (My usual is the Kosmic Karma, but the bf wanted to try something new.)

Turkey and mayo on white toast. Doesn't look like much, but it's yummy every time.

I love it! The highlight of Christmas growing up was when Mom would bring out the 'fancy glasses' full of eggnog. (Yes, this even beat presents and decorating the tree. I was a different kid.) I still have a glass every year in her honor. It's not Christmas until I've had some nog.
