I love to grill, especially steak but I can never recreate the same steaks that I eat at steakhouses, can anyone tell me how exactly steakhouses get that great crust without drying out the meat and without over cooking the steak. Thanks!
I have been trying to recreate the filet I had at Chamberlain's in Dallas
Does anyone have a good recipe for using strawberries? There is a local market down the street that has some really great, fresh strawberries but I never know what I can do with them other than eat them plain or with sugar...Any ideas?
If you have checked out some of my other posts, I moved to Texas last summer and have been in love with the amount of great restaurants down here. I tried a steak house about a month ago called Chamberlain's in Addison, TX. I wrote a review on this site because it was a really great steak, one of the best I have ever eaten. So I posted and that was that.
I turned on the television the other day and there was the man behind the steak...Executive Chef Richard Chamberlain.
Here is a video from a local Fox affiliate where he prepares a flat iron steak and gives away a few secrets behind the delicious steaks. He is also promoting a local event that he is involved in.
I love to grill ears of corn but does anyone have any tips? I have tried grilling with husk on and husk off. Husk on gives it more of a steamed taste, I have also tried wrapping corn in foil. When I grilled the corn out of the husk it didn't turn out as good, I think the heat might have been too high maybe?
Anything special that people put on the corn before grilling it?
I moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area last summer from the East Coast and I have been checking out all of the great BBQ restaurants and steak houses but I was looking for some great seafood. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Thanks!!
Texas is known for steak so when I try a new chop house I have high expectations. I recently dined at Chamberlain's steak and chop house in a city near Dallas called Addison, TX. I consider myself somewhat of a foodie and I love to eat but I had never tried this place. I found out that Chamberlain's is owned by Executive Chef Richard Chamberlain. They opened at 5 pm for dinner and I ordered the crab cakes and the 8 oz. filet and everything was absolutely excellent! One of the best Filets I have ever eaten and the best crab cake I have had outside of Maryland. They also have an incredible wine list and make great Key Lime Pie! I suggest Chamberlains if you are looking for a great steakhouse in the Dallas area.
KMichael hasn't favorited a post yet.
If you want steak you can skip Bob's, Del Frisco and III Forks. Go for Chamberlain's in Addison. It's definitely the best steak in Dallas. Chef Chamberlain makes rounds to all of the tables and the service is fantastic, the menu is always changing. If you try it once you will be hooked, best filet!
