Question of the Day: ______ looks better than it tastes.
ANYTHING with cilantro. Honestly, I don't know how people eat the stuff.

Blood sausage, any type of insect, and I'm with ThatGirl on her selections, too. Cow tongue? I think not. For a lot of things, I guess, it would depend on whether you knew you were eating it or not depending on the preparation.
Err.. cupcakes. I'm guilty of baking lots and lots of them, and even though they tasted good, the main reason people love them is their appearance. I'd say 99% commerial cakes look better than they taste. Seriously, opera cake, sacher torte.. *yawn*
Sweet Mother of...oooh what can I say? Swine of any kind!! Yea, the Whole Hog!! Tail to head(ever had snouts?), Inside to out (yea, lub pork rines!), and any and every combination thereof (aaah head cheese--souse,any porky omlette, bacon wrapped anythang,scrapple)...and smoked?!!..Do yourself a favror and season everything & anything w/ smoked pig meat! Boil, bake, roast, slo-cook, fry, grill, pit smoke...this animal is so paletable you'll never fail. Just stay stocked w/those heavenly herbs & spices:thyme, garlic, sage, bay, pepper(s)parsley, garlic, rosemary, garlic, ginger, soy, worchetershire, onion, cumin,et al,etc, & so forth :-) PS Speaking of insides, don't forget those flavorful organ meats!
Canned nacho cheese. On the tastes-better-than-it-looks: liver and onions.
There's a pulled pork pita served at a café in my university that's the single best food item available on campus. Some kind of magical Mediterranean-style marinade transforms it into mouthfuls of porky heaven.
My favorite is ribs (baby back?), my great aunt had a really good recipe for BBQ sauce (aunt dorie's BBQ sauce) She probably just got it from a cookbook and called it her own. Even done in an oven they are good but so much better on the grill.
I love all these things everyone else won't eat (except the fast food, of course). But for some reason coconut nauseates me. Just smelling that lotion on people in summer is nauseating, and coconut macaroons are g-ross. People find ways to ruin all sorts of good food with coconut! And coconut water - ugh. I went to Vietnam and we had to drink it, to stay hydrated because it's so hot that you need the electrolytes and minerals in it. But it got really frustrating, having to take it in every day. Also, sometimes mangos have a slight coconut flavor - ruining a wonderful mango - It makes me afraid to buy them, because I won't be able to abid them! The only way I've been able to stand coconut is in coconut cream pie, coconut custard pie and coconut frosting...probably because the creaminess dominates the coconut flavor.
I don't do offal, with the exception of livers, of all things. Also, no bugs and just the thought of the maggot cheese mentioned above makes me gag. (*Turns head and takes a couple of deep breaths*)
In the veggie category I won't eat radishes, turnips, parsnips, rutabagas, okra, and canned green beans. I don't do very well with slimy things and I really hate morrells.
