For healthier perfection, a freshly picked tomato from a garden. Nothing beats that.

@arm1970 - I've actually never been in the winter. I'd imagine that it wouldn't be as impressive then. If you go in May or June, especially on the weekend, it's always full of stands with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. I've gotten some of the best peaches and strawberries I've ever eaten there. As for the seafood, while I've never bought any I've heard rave reviews from some people I work with. I know they have a seafood restaurant as well.

@Madelyn - I LOVE the Union Square Farmer's Market. I'm originally from that area. Only been a few times but it really sticks out in my mind.

Any type of exotic mushroom that I haven't tried. (which is quite a few)
I'm a huge mushroom fan. It's just that the more exotic they get, the more expensive!

@jazzinx... I also usually eat dinner around 5 to 5:30. Pretty much as soon as I walk in the door from work. I am always starving by then.

Then around 8 or so, I'll have a small snack of some kind.

Dairy products would be so hard for me to give up. I can't imagine going without cheese, in particular!

Tomato products would be hard as well. Tomatoes are one of my absolute favorite foods ever. Have been since I was a kid.

I can't say I get any kind of high/rush from eating chocolate, although I do love it. Lately though, I've been leaning more towards vanilla or fruit stuff which is a big change for me.

I used to be addicted to dark chocolate. Then I got sick with a really bad cough and no cough suppressant would work, so I was researching natural remedies. I found some info that said extra dark chocolate was supposed to help because it has high levels of theobromine, which apparently acts as a cough suppressant. I was desperate so I bought and ate ridiculous amounts of the stuff. It actually did seem to help a bit. Two years later it still doesn't appeal to me anymore though.

Yeah... Don't quite know how to respond to that one. But I guess you have to give the guy props for creative entrepreneurship.

I have to say, being from the NY area and having lived and traveled to many other parts of the country, straight out of the tap, NY does have the best tasting water.

I agree with redhead on the fruit cobbler. A friend of mine gave me a super easy recipe for it a few years back. I don't have it with me at the moment, but I think it only has about 5 ingredients tops.

I've made it several times when I've had friends over and it's a huge hit every time! Some have even started requesting it regularly.
