Natalie Hardwick

Food writer

I'm a British food and drink journalist working as staff writer for BBC Good Food. I've also written for the Guardian on issues as disparate as freezers, beer cocktails and mutton. My love of food comes from my Italian family and a childhood of eating bowls of broth with ravioli. I've been known to demolish a whole packet of spaghetti in two sittings and am a strong advocate of sleazy British cuisine, particularly savoury pastries, crisps, processed cheese and any form of canned fish.

  • Last bite on earth: Pork belly with perfect crackling.

It's no overstatement to say tea and biscuits are our actual lifeblood. More
