Question of the Day: Sweet or savory?
I am chinese and we often combine the two. Char siu Bao is my favorite!

I really like Kneadfulthings.typepad.com or The girl who ate everything. (Roboppy.net/food) They are both local to my area, and updated frequently.
I love reading Baking and Books. Great recipes, culinary history and book reviews. Yummy.
Which do I prefer? When I crave a "comfort" food, most times I'm thinking savory. Like BreadBox, I have to watch my sugar intake, but savory treats in the pizza/pasta/bread family lessen my "guilt". Yesterday I discovered the joys of popovers. Today, I'm making another batch for arriving weekend guests and I'm asking myself , "strawberry/rhubarb filling or filled with shredded cheese and rising out of the butter drained off last nights carmelized onions". I just might make them both!
I love The Food Whore, The Amateur Gourmet and The Girl Who Ate Everything. All three writers crack me up. Robyn and Adam take fabulous pix and the FW's stories are priceless.
Megnut, Amatuer Gourmet (yes, I know they write here but you guys rock! ), Gastronaughty - a local Denver blog, The Girl Who Ate Everything, sweet something - a Chicago blog and Skillet Doux. I wish there were more Denver blogs. :-(
I'm torn between http://eggbeater.typepad.com and http://www.bunrab.com They both are well written by thoughtful, mercurial people, have great food photos and both are bay area blogs.
