Poll: Panettone, Way or No Way?
I enjoy a little bit of panettone once a year. Unfortunately, my family thinks it's a great idea to send me about three giant loaves of the stuff every Christmas. I can barely eat half a loaf before it goes stale.
That said, I do need to try making panettone french toast this year...
What's the Deal with Marzipan?
I'm definitely a marzipan fan! I've got a pair of marzipan pigs waiting to be devoured for New Year's.
I do remember as a kid wondering why they make marzipan in the shape of fruit when it isn't fruit flavored. It still makes no sense. But I do love the little pigs.
Cook the Book: 'Baked Explorations'
Unfortunately, I haven't had the pleasure of finding a really good bakery (they've all been pretty lackluster so far). Would my mother's kitchen around Christmas count?

Last bite on earth:

Oh man, I still have a soft spot for Pocky. My favorites so far are the winter chocolate ones, milk, and coconut. Do they still make Chocolate Mousse Pocky? I think they also had grape and cherry blossom flavored ones at some point.
I remember when I visited Japan in high school, stopped at a gas station there and bought a suitcase worth of Pocky to bring back to the states. Now I live near a Mitsuwa so I can get my Pocky fix more easily.
