I love pizza. Frozen, fresh, gourmet, fast food chain, homemade; you name it I love it. Yes I have a "mature" pallet and consider myself a foodie, but I L-O-V-E pizza. Pizza is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. My favorite date meal: hot pizza and cold beer. My addiction is so bad that I have to limit my consumption or I'd be as big as a Smart Car!
Are there other pizza freaks like me? Are there more of you that love it as much as I do?
I have major plans to make a few large meals this evening to freeze in smaller portions in order to eat throughout the week or longer. Any recommendations?
Can someone recommend a recipe for bolognese sauce with a whole form of meat instead of ground meat? Maybe one I can do in a day instead of 3?
It's quite interesting that all the components of the Thanksgiving meal aren't always everyone's favorites. I know of some folks that don't prepare a certain item if they know a certain family member won't be attending this year. I also know of people that are looking for an alternative to the traditional turkey.
What do you prepare on Thanksgiving and why? What is your favorite part of the meal?
Mine? My mom's mashed potatoes that she makes with whole milk, butter, cream cheese, and seasoned salt. Yummmmmm......
I'm heading to Las Vegas next weekend and I'd love some "off the beaten path" recommendations for restaurants. Last time we were there we ate at some really amazing restaurants (on the strip) but the food and prices really don't compare to what I'm used to having at home in Portland, Oregon. Does anyone have any suggestions for simple, delicious, maybe even farm-to-table spots with great wine or beer pairings?
I have a whole batch of poblanos that I picked from my garden and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. Any suggestions? Something I can possibly freeze & reheat for later enjoyment?
Morgan G. hasn't favorited a post yet.
The San Marco at Heritage Coffee Co. in Juneau, Alaska. It's no longer on the menu but it was delicious! It was a panini of turkey, provolone cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, pepperoncinis, and a little mayo on foccacia bread. Delicious! I make it at home all the time.
