What's The Best Sandwich You've Ever Had?

The San Marco at Heritage Coffee Co. in Juneau, Alaska. It's no longer on the menu but it was delicious! It was a panini of turkey, provolone cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, pepperoncinis, and a little mayo on foccacia bread. Delicious! I make it at home all the time.

Do some people's eating habits drive you around the bend?

My last place of employment was a 5-star, luxury hotel with top notch restaurants. We had an amazing team of chefs and my co-worker wouldn't touch anything that had seafood in it because it was "slimy" and her meat had to be well-done because anything cooked less was "bloody".

My roommate thinks brussels sprouts are gross but he's never tried them.

What's wrong with these people?

Why do I love pizza so much?!?

I just recently found a pizza place that delivers until 4 am. Hammy's Pizza's "Matt's Pie" is my new favorite. Pepperoni, red onions, pineapple, and jalapeno peppers. I could eat all 8 slices if I wasn't sharing!

What's Your Favorite Cold-Weather Meal?

I love to make a rich bolognese to serve with fresh pasta. It's so hearty and comforting. Plus, the house smells divine as it simmers on the stovetop for a couple of hours.

What are YOU making for Christmas dinner? Why?

We always do something out of the ordinary. We being me and my immediate family (mom, dad, sister). Thanksgiving always HAS to be turkey and everyone gets their favorite. One year we had sushi, one year we did a "Benihana" night. This year we're going British with individual wellingtons. Maybe some creamed spinach and a potato gallette along with.

Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks

Before I moved to Texas, it was petite fillet. Now, it's definitely a ribeye, medium-rare, hands down. No seasoning or sauces required!

quitter's nibbles

I'm a big raw veggie fan so you may not be so keen on these suggestions but you could give it a shot...
-Kohlrabi, turnips, and radishes, with a little salt sprinkled on top,
-Broccoli and cabbage hearts,

My guilty pleasure is "Cup-a-soup". One packet of soup is only 45 calories and the hot soup provides you with a full sensation for a while.

Portland, Oregon: Nostrana

Nostrana is a great restaurant but credit card users beware! Three girlfriends and I met for dinner about a month ago at Nostrana. Shortly after, the three of us that used our debit cards from the same bank had charges on our debit card from Darby, PA. Our cards had been copied and duplicates had been made back east.

Dine at Nostrana but make sure to pay cash!
