I love food and cooking, and love to share what I do!
I, personally, do not like cookie crumb filled/oreo flavoured milk.
I think it's related to cereal milk, grainy and bleh.
I dip the cookie just so it's moistened and I'm good.
Gosh you people are so lucky!! What a life.
You wasted the only good april fools joke you'd have! now what're you going to do?!
I keep thinking of places I eat at.
Don't forget to check out Commercial drive when you're down here. Falconetti's makes great sausage, Belgian fries for awesome poutine! Don't forget our awesome markets at the Quays and throughout the city!
Gelatio at mario's gelati!
Vij's is overrated..*cough*
Try the food carts: http://www.cbc.ca/bc/features/food-carts/ They're all relatively new to the city. For an interesting Hot Dog try Japadog, try Roaming Dragon for some interesting asian.
Definitely have some sushi/asian food. Ebisu if you're looking for cheap-er. We do vietnamese really well, if you're looking for a cheap meal. Burgers check out Veras meat shack.
It really depends on where you're staying as well. I'll assume downtown? And what type of people! We cater to fine diners and those covered in tattoos.
There are SO many incredible restaurants in the city it will be impossible to choose and you definitely can't eat at all of them.
Depending on where you are as the concierge in the hotel to suggest or use yelp, we have a huge foodie scene here so they're generally accurate.
For fancy try: Cioppinos, Blue Water, Le Crocodile, La Grotta Del Formaggio (for a lunch), Tojo's for sushi, La Terrazza, Meat & Bread.
In Canada: Panago!!
What a terrible name for a day. "nut day" it better than GRAB some nuts day. My boyfriend is going to be so upset.
You know pizza is probably one of the best breakfasts you can have. Complex carbohydrates with protein and vegetables. In small amounts it's fine, a good energy start to the day and you can burn it off throughout. Better than pizza for dinner.
We had a box of Late July come in as a sample from a rep. I thought they were GREAT. I'm surprised that the most generic of cookies came out on ontop.
Really! I had the gazela recently and hated it!
Yes, but it has to be a good ranch. I dunno how many times I've gone to some slice pizza place, and they have those bottles of extremely watered down ranch or hot sauce. Awful!
I, on the contrary, find it to be one of the most amazing flavours ever!
Fresh tomatoes sliced on toast. OH man. I can't wait till mine start turning red!
Well I went and made it without an answer!:

It looks like there's jalapeno in the buttercream in the photograph but not in the recipe. Is good or no?
I love me some 49th parallel!! But the Epic Espresso.
Yeah, dipping processed food into chocolate, and just wanting actual recipies are two different things.
I'd love to see a regular dessert column. Show me some cool popsicle recipes, vintage cake recipes, in season recipes, but most importantly, give me INSPIRATION.
That's the main reason why I read Serious Eats.
I look. I drool. I make.
I too agree with scatteredsong and therealchiffonade. Get rid of it! and where is this devoted following? She has her own blog, they can follow her there!
Seriously, they ARE getting worse. They're basically just jokes now. Come on, serious eats. This effects your reputation too!
Thank god I live in Vancouver. I am 100% eating this next time I'm on the island. 100%.
By far the greatest thing on the planet. It's like meat-gatorade for the dehydrated and hungover. So amazingly delicious. Average $6 a bowl here. Rare beef is the way to go, although I have a few friends who LOVE the "manger's special" most places have. Which usually includes tripe and tendon.
I love red robin! I get the crispy chicken burger and ask them to toss it in hot sauce. I NEVER get the refill on the fries because I'm always super full over the burger. I don't get why you say they're small burgers?
But.. keep in mind I'm Canadian. We're not that familiar with ginormous servings.
I never really have "leftovers" I try to use herbs in everything. I throw parsley in almost every dish, even just for some colour.
I leave my pizza at room temp too. Generally toss it in a cold oven at night, just so it's out of the way. I then eat it at room temp the next day with hot sauce!!
Misslove hasn't written a post yet.

As spring blushes into summer, the emergence of lush, almost enthusiastically flavorful Kenyan coffees has come upon us courtesy of some of North America's finest roasters. We've rounded up four of the very best of these—all hailing from the fruitful Nyeri region of Kenya—plus a bonus coffee from Burundi for good measure. More

Oh my god!! This is the contest for me! We put sriracha on EVERYTHING. We go through a bottle maybe once every two months.
Pizza, chicken, beef, tacos, pasta, rice, stir fries, it is AMAZING.
