Sunday Brunch: Bacon-Wrapped Toads in a Leek-Filled Hole
Made this for brunch with some chicken apple sausages we had on hand, and while the parts of the recipe were all good, they didn't mesh as a whole. The sweetness in the sausage did not pair well with the savory custard. I would recommend a different type of sausage with it. Also, it should be noted to not pour the batter over the sausages, but around them. The places where the batter lay on top of the bacon, it became soggy and chewy. Other than those two mistakes I made, this one is a keeper, and I can't wait to try it again with a different type of sausage.
What can I make with hot chocolate mix...
Soy Lethicin and vanilla are the ingredients in chocolate chips. What you have is basically shredded chips, not powdered drink mix, so recipies for drink mix may not work, but any other use for chocolate will. If they are pretty curls, you could even use them for decorating!

Paula Deen makes a version of this, but she adds a custard and... wait for it... Potato Chips!
