Thanks for this article! When I started my job as I cheesemonger, I experienced something similar to you. I discovered some great blues, and now I think my favorites are the Roaring Forties and Valdeon. As for the cheddars, I love the Keene's also, but also have grown quite attached to the Fiscalini bandaged cheddar from California. You're right about the Pleasant Ridge Reserve's deliciousness! Open Thread: Home for the Holidays Your Sentimental Favorite Pizzeria
My favoriate is Villa Pizza in Middletown, NJ. My sister and I wouldn't be the people we are without it! I think it opened up about 20 years ago, and when I went back to visit a couple months ago, the same owners were still there. True Neopolitan pizza, no frills, they also have heavenly pasta dishes.

About: So much to say in so little space--I love France, it's my "true home," especially Provence! You can usually catch me singing opera arias at work and at home. Apart from food, music is my other sustenance.
Favorite foods: Rice of all kinds, Vietnamese cuisine (particulalry pho and bánh xèo), macaroni and cheese, or just cheese. I also have a sweet tooth with a penchant for Berthillon ice cream, French macarons, and those fluffy Korean spongy cakes I find once in a while.
