2010 Trend Prediction: Fancy Oatmeal

I was in Phuket, Thailand over Christmas and the hotel we were staying as served plain oatmeal on their breakfast bar.

I ended up dumping in a few spoonfuls of Mixed Berry Compote and a few spoonfuls of Coconut Creme. Delish!

While I was at an orphanage in Kampala, Uganda, I was invited to eat a lunch prepared by one of the house moms. The best beef stew ever, over rice, with salad, candied carrots, and homemade flatbread. So good! I'm not sure if it was the fatigue of lugging mud bricks all day or what, but it was the best meal ever. Ever.
