Tips for saving money at farmers markets?
Is it okay to negotiate? I always feel awkward Anyone have any good ideas not to get robbed? (if that can be said because the produce is soo good.)
At least there are always the free samples....

Loves everything veggie. But can't resist a good piece of fish. Baking bread is my peaceful spot.
interesting discuss - thanks for the input. i thought it was a pretty gross idea myself, but an interesting article. It leaves me kinda appauled that there are enough people too keep them in business....but i can tell myself people only buy the chicken broth :-)

I just read and interesting article (http://www.coopradar.com/?p=473) about people who follow super high fat diets. This isn't a Akins style diet but rather very high fat emphasizing natural sources. Never seen something quite that extreme.
Anyone think this is a good idea?

So someone shot me this link today (another fellow-foodie) http://newyork.grubstreet.com/2009/08/brooklyn_brewery_experiments_w.html Would you guys even try this? I'm not sure I would. Could be a good cooking ingredient though... More
wow - i was just hoping to get a little sense of the how things work. The same farm sell produce cheaper through my corner market then they do out of their tent on Sunday so i figured there had to be some room to move since it cuts out the middle man
i think the article that Emma (thanks) referred to was pretty diplomatic in that it focused on relationships and other arrangement that weren't straight up asking for a better deal.
