Everyone loves _____ but I hate it.

I won't eat chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, most chocolate candy bars, chocolate chips in cookies/mint ice cream
I can eat milk chocolate Reese's are awesome but I have to eat drink milk to get rid of the aftertaste.
Olives (green and black)
licorice (Any flavor)
Steak, Turkey, Lamb Chops. Really any meat except seafood, chicken, ham and beef.
I actually hate pizza without ranch dressing.

I don't know. I've never liked pizza by itself. Maybe the tomato sause is to spicy for me or maybe it's the taste. But I've never been able to eat pizza w/o dipping it in ranch. It doesn't matter the quality, it's the taste of the pizza I don't like. I found myself dipping Chicago style pizza from Chicago too. I only dip though, pouring it on top is gross.

All toppings actually. I dip ham & pineapple. Sometimes I drop pineapple pieces into the ranch and push them onto the slice even if they are covered in ranch. Green Pepper, cheese or pepporoni also.

I dip thin crust Mexican style pizza into sour cream though, those are spicy.

I used to hate pizza but then I tried it with ranch on accident. I'm the type of person that will eat something if it toches something else. So I try it and love it.

We have frozen pizza at home or we order pizza so it's easy. Then the only restaurant I get pizza at is Pizza Hut and they have a salad bar so ranch is there.

I dip all kinds. Ham & Pineapple in ranch is the best. BTW I only dip, I don't pour it on top.

I hate chocolate too.

I find I can eat it but I must eat something afterwords to get rid of the taste.


I like chocolate milk and candy bars or those Reeses cups.

But I hate chocolate cake, ice cream, chucks of chocolate alone or in ice cream. Also I hate dark chocolate. The darker the worse because then it's harder for me to get rid of the aftertaste.

I once has this coffee flavored chocolate. Talk about mixing the worst of two worlds. I drank Sprite which usually gets rid of the bad taste but it didn't work. I drank everything in the house. I don't drink coffee, the smell makes me sick so....

I absolutely love ranch on my pizza. Granted, I am a middle-school student (though homeschooled), and got the idea from my (middle school, homeschooled) friends after we started dipping French-Fries in Ranch (that's justified in Mich--here most of the fries are way too greasy or way too dry). We decided to try it on our pizza--and it's great. Only Hidden Valley (tm) works though. Deep dish pizza doesn't need it, fortunately. A group fave for us is cayenne pepper, fresh black pepper, ranch, and tabasco sauce. I agree, if it's good pizza, it doesn't need condiments, but (1) pizza in metro-detroit isn't that good, and (2), it doesn't matter if it needs it--if ya want it, I say put it on unashamedly!

A couple times a year after a dinner party, I have to go online and find the other chocolate haters. I try to be conveniently be away from the table when dessert (invariably chocolate) is served. Yet, they hunt me down and try to force it on me. Finally, I relent. "Really, I'll pass. I don't like chocolate." "YOU DON'T LIKE CHOCOLATE?!" And then everyone starts talking about chocolate! For me, it's like they are talking about eating slugs. I despise chocolate. I find myself getting more and more sick to my stomach. It IS curious to me that there are people (lots of them) who love chocolate, and sometimes I kind of wish I could have that orgasmic chocolate experience that people talk about. But then the chocolate..slugs ..chocolate...slugs...bleech part of my brain takes over and I nix that wish.

I don't hate chocolate, but neither do I love or crave it. Not much of a sweet tooth, I guess.

Someone told me once that people either have a salt or sweet preference that was inherently genetic. I don't know if that is true, but I'd definitely hit the salty stuff before the sweet stuff. Whatever.

I'll only eat dark chocolate. I like to think its a texture thing as well as having a flavor and aroma as complex and interesting as coffee or wine.

And we know how people can love their coffee or wine.

I have never liked chocolate, don't crave it, never think about it, and always steer clear of it if offered for dessert. Eating or drinking anything with chocolate in it never enters my thought process. I don't understand people who like it. I guess I'm un-American because I can't stand
pumpkin pie, apple pie, licorice, root beer, or liver. Chocolate is at the top of that list however. We all have likes and dislikes and shouldn't be judged by what we don't like. I have a friend who detests spaghetti and mashed potatoes. I don't judge her for it. That's what makes us unique as individuals. Give me a dessert with lemon, strawberries or a lot of vanilla, and I'm in seventh heaven!

I can tolerate it, if I have to, but like a couple of other people said, the darker the chocolate, the more I dislike it.

I was actually tempted to start this thread but was swayed by the fear of being scrutinized by all my SeriousFriends?

In the office I get poked-fun at because I don't like chocolate or ice cream.
My director will yell loudly "WHO ELSE HERE DOESN'T LIKE CHOCOLATE?" then look at me and say "see Christel, you're weird!". @Martini Me - I get the other responses too [all of them].

But HEY! s'all-good. I'll have a butterfinger once a month (you know what I mean girls) when it calls my name but other than that? no thanks.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally! I am not alone! When people find out I hate chocolate it causes this huge uproar. "You hate CHOCOLATE" they always gasp. "Why??!" Ugh, the conversation then proceeds with me explaining why and then one of three scenarios plays out. 1) I wish I hated chocolate. 2) You're weird. 3) When was the last time you had it? You should try it again. You should try _______ brand of chocolate I bet you'd like it. I'll bring you some chocolate everyone likes.

I hate chocolate too!!!!!!!! Can't stand chocolate bars, chocolate milk, chocolate cake, chocolate chips, chocolate anything. It's probably one of the bitterest, worst-tasting foods I can imagine. In fact it tastes like it has no sugar in it. I admit I'm a mutant but I'm glad to see that at least there are a couple of others like me on the net, I haven't met any before. Maybe we should create a support group. And for all you indignant chocolate lovers on this forum, I apologize, I really have no ill-feelings against the stuff. And anyway, that leaves more for you, right?

Hey there EatersRegret, I live in the UK and if I can get Ranch dressing here in Wales, I'm jolly sure you can get in in London! My local Tesco has one by Paul Newman. Never had it before so can't compare it with any other makes...bet you can get to a nice deli that would sell it, too!

I just looked up ranch dressing and DID throw up in my mouth! Never heard of anyone dipping pizza crusts in any kind of dip, never mind what sounds like is probably some mass-produced, salt and fat-fest. You crazy Americans and your food mutilations.
