This was a bit more exciting than my husband was expecting. Thank goodness he was cooking on an electric stove. It wouldn't have been a problem at home where we have tongs and the usual tools but in the remote prep location boasting a pan that was slightly too small and a spoon to lower the turkey, oh boy! It could have been a flaming wreck. Instead might have been a reenactment of the great salad oil spill of '09. It added even more drama to the family meal.
