Anyone out there have a good and easy recipe for meat pies (like the traditional British kind) ?
We got a mini pie maker for Christmas and would love to make some mini meat pies for dinner and/or lunch.

I use the website www.stilltasty.com to figure out shelf-life for stuff. I looked up "Pork Fat" and this is what I got, http://stilltasty.com/fooditems/index/18048
Garretts Popcorn is the best! And, it's a local Chicago institution. The popcorn is available already popped. You can order online, http://www.garrettpopcorn.com/seasonal-gifts/
and Amercian=American...apparently typing is not my strong suit today.
hey! it posted without me saying post...sorry about that!
I was about to say:
Wow, I love a lot of the above smells...but here is my best shot at this.
olives
sardines
any common Amercian condiment (ketchup, mustard, mayo and especially relish)...I think this is from years of working as a waitress.
tuna salad
egg salad (both of these salads should never be brought on a plane or into a tight working environment.)
I just roasted spaghetti squash for the first time last night and it was awesome! I cut the squash in half, scooped out the seeds and initial stringy bits, coated it with olive oil, some brown sugar and salt and roasted until soft. Then I tossed it with chopped pecans and served with some sauteed shrimp, heirloom tomatoes, garlic and shredded carrots...soooooo so yummy.
ok, mouth is watering...awesome suggestions. Glad I have a huge stash to work with at home!
I like to make a simple salad of baby spinach, cherry tomatoes (cut in half), shredded carrots and crumbled goat cheese. Drizzle with a balsamic vinaigrette and you got yourself an easy to carry, delicious lunch!
If you need more protein, chicken and salmon go very well with this as well.
Now I totally have to try the breaded/oven baked recipe Burger365 posted (3rd comment from the top.) That sounds amazing!
I've used the supercook recipe search engine in the past to help get through my produce in times of abundent supply. I actually use it often to find out what the heck I can do with everything in my pantry when I'm lacknig inspiration.

Hi there,
Here's a great salsa recipe that has always been a hit when I bring it along to a BBQ...
Ingredients:
1 large Avocado, cut into small cubes
I medium red onion, coarsley diced
1 large mango, cut into small cubes
1/4-1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 small lime
Combine everything except the lime in a large bowl and mix well. Cut lime and drizzle juice throughout the mixture.
That's it! Super easy, very fresh and amazing with tortilla chips and cold Corona :) I typically double or triple the recipe for larger groups.

I just purchased some really pretty heirloom tomatoes from my local farmer's market. I've only had heirlooms raw and am now wondering what cooked recipes I could make with them...any suggestions?
Does anyone have a go-to easy and affordable drink recipe for a party of 8 adults? I am hosting a small party this weekend at my house and want to serve something in mason jars...thinking about gin fizz type of drinks.

It literally costs restaurant pennies to fill up your cup with soda. The biggest expense in a soda program is the to-go cups. Drink up.
