Torte de La Nona (sp) ie Grandmother Cake

My sister-in-law, Mary-beth Bradley, raves about the version she learned at Tenuta di Capezzana in Italy. You can find it here: http://www.capezzana.it/eng/ricettafoto3.html. What is especially interesting about this version (which I have yet to try) is that the filling is a stovetop custard combined with ricotta and then baked in a rich, sweet, shortcrust pastry (sandwiched between a bottom and top pastry). She ate a slice of this "cake" each day of a 5-day cooking course at the Villa and never tired of it. I'm looking forward to trying this interesting custard-cheesecake technique. ...Susan

Drinking Chocolate 101

This looks so delicious! I'm so glad drinking chocolate is catching on at last in the states.
